It is only through Christ that hopeless situations can completely shift. I love the notifications from the Sprinkle of Jesus app and the way that God uses those words of encouragement to speak to me. For example, “Opposition is an opportunity for God to perform a miracle.” I have to meet with my boss today and inform him that I am considering cutting back my hours drastically. It’s rather scary because it seems as if our company is losing employees daily and finding people to fill in the schedule is getting more and more difficult. It’s in God’s hands. I know that. I can’t rely on my own strength. I don’t want to lose sight of His greater plan in my warped perspective. He has a greater plan that I could ever ask or imagine. I must have faith. I must fix my focus on Jesus, always. My comfort does not matter. My weakness does not matter.
“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.”
“His power is made perfect in [my] weakness.” He has more than enough strength to see me through. Yes my spirit may grow weak, but my God’s strength and love never end. He simply wants us to trust Him in all things. He wants us to have audacious faith. In Exodus 14:14, Moses proclaims, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” We have to learn to rest in the arms of Jesus. He places us behind Him, like a child that needs protection, and fights for us.
